HAVS blends many unique flavors of music into an adaptable sound, resulting in a narrative that pushes the boundaries of genres. She remains musically fluid, while her inspiration stems predominantly from an R&B influence. Her self written content is fueled by the desire to influence connection and alignment with the self, illuminating the words at her disposal to create a world for her listeners.
Born into a lineage of artists, HAVS learned to communicate through creating at a young age. This pushed her to freely explore her expressive passions including visual arts, piano, and dance.
She began to construct her own sound in 2017 when she started gaining local recognition. Shortly after, she captured the attention of platforms such as Virgin Radio and Canadian Musician Magazine. In 2019 she showcased across Canada which led her to independently travel overseas to tour and further evolve her creative pursuits.
More recently, with the release of her single "Wildflower", HAVS began incorporating sound healing in her creation process - resulting in an Avant Garde approach, magnifying the soothing yet empowering effects of her music.
“There's a clear reason people keep knocking on her door to collaborate. In a catalogue compiled over just a few years, we hear flashes of brilliance from an artist coming into her own as a potent writer and compelling performer” - Andrew King

“HAVS has the sultry rebellious angst of MDMA, the orbitious lure of love and abandonment, and the chaos of 3AM at a warehouse roof party in the Exchange. A voice like HAVS glides over downtempo R&B like it garnishes a Cosmopolitan; beats hang in the air like hot summer nights, windows open to let out the smoke with kissed lips; and, together, makes music only new colours could describe.”
“[HAVS] is here to present her list of demands for men, something other women will be able to use as a template... HAVS is concocting a dope ass vibe, and helping women sift through their expectations of men at the same time. You would be doing yourself a grand service by checking out Lemonriot immediately.” - Curtis Ashley
